More about Palmkin / Gemma 4 on Android

A model that suits your phone

A model is the part that turns your words into an answer. Palmkin’s model choices draw on Google’s Gemma family. Start with what fits your phone and your day.

Updated:

Start small and practical

Look for a model suited to your device rather than choosing the largest name. A smaller choice can be a sensible starting point for short drafts, rewrites and ideas.

Leave room on your phone

A model needs space to download and working memory while it runs. Download size alone does not tell you whether your phone can use it comfortably. Leave free storage for your other apps and files too.

Try something you would really ask

Ask for a short message or a rewrite in your own language. Notice whether the answer is useful and the wait feels comfortable. No single model choice guarantees the same experience on every phone.

Keep a conversation focused

Give the model the details it needs, not every detail you have. For a long conversation, summarise the key points or start a fresh topic. Always check names, numbers and important facts.

Know what the model description means

Google’s model pages explain Gemma’s abilities. Those descriptions are not a list of functions offered by Palmkin: image or audio support in a model does not automatically make a camera or voice feature available in an app.
